Cornerstone Church believes in giving back, both locally and globally. In 2012, Cornerstone Church purchased the former YMCA building in Cleveland, NC. Bill Godair, Lead Pastor at Cornerstone Church, has a vision for this property, named The Hub, to be a help to a community in need. Cornerstone Church has already invested more than $100,000 into the renovation of this property in hopes of providing a place for both children and adults.
In March of 2013, Cornerstone Church hosted a Family Fest for the Cleveland community. Family fest typically consists of games, an Easter Egg Hunt, and multiple bounce houses for the kids. The Third Day Power Team came out and demonstrated the power of God in their lives through power demonstrations and feats of strength.
Cornerstone Church continues to give back to the local community by helping local food pantries, as well as people in need within our community. Whether it is helping individuals stricken by cancer with their bills, remodeling and furnishing an entire house for a single mother, or providing meals for the less fortunate, Cornerstone Church strives to take care of God’s Children.
In June of 2013, Cornerstone’s Children and Youth Ministries partnered together to raise funds for those affected by the damaging tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma. Starting as a question to our children’s pastor, our children wanted to know what they could do to help those affected. Cornerstone Church’s children and teens raised over $3,000. Pastor Bill Godair committed that Cornerstone Church would match every dollar. Standing true to the integrity and character of our church, Cornerstone sent over $6,000 to the Moore, Oklahoma community.
